Matt Kirkegaard is a political coordinator at Progressive International. He also manages relations with Progressive International’s member organizations including dozens of trade unions, social movements, and political parties from across the world. As a Fulbright scholar, he received a masters degree in water security and international development at the University of East Anglia, UK, focusing his studies on transboundary water conflicts and struggles for decolonial water reform. He has previously worked as a grassroots political organizer, educator and a researcher in the field of political ecology.
