Sara Rasikh

Sara Rasikh (she/her) is a doctoral student and community organizer who served as a media spokesperson for the People’s Circle for Palestine protest encampment at the University of Toronto. Her political formation is rooted in feminist organizing and a critical analysis of economic coercion as a tool of domination. This perspective shaped her master’s research on how academic institutions reproduce violence through material and ideological means and continues to inform her doctoral work, which uses qualitative methods to examine social justice movements at the intersections of gender, migration, and urban labour in Pakistan, with particular attention to the sex trade.
